The American artist Robert Kulicke (1924-2007) studied at the Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia, and in Paris at the studio of Fernand Léger. His best-known paintings are his studies of single pieces of fruit. As a jeweller, he was a master of granulation and of enamelling. He was also a highly respected designer of picture frames.

Silver set with a moonstone, by Robert Kulicke, New York, U.S.A., 1972
Physical description
Oval silver pendant decorated with a border of granulation around a cross formed of granulation which is centred by a moonstone in a collet setting. A broad suspension ring is soldered to the top of the oval and has further granulation on the front. The back of the pendant is plain, except for the words inscribed.
