Artist/Maker
Place of origin

Oliver Lesso (b. 1973) studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava, Slovakia from 1993 to 1999.
Working as an independent glass artist in Bratislava, he makes geometric sculptures, using fine optical glass and fused coloured plate-glass, cut with great precision. Lesso uses the reflective qualities of the polished surfaces of the optical glass to mirror the patterns created by the fused coloured layers. Through these internal reflections, the boundaries between internal and external space become confused. When the viewer moves around the piece its appearance constantly changes.
