Hand coloured tinsel print depicting Mr Gomersall as Earl Douglas in Chevy Chase, published by Orlando Hodgson, London, 1832. Print is housed in a maple frame.
Physical description
Print depicting Mr Gomersall (possibly E.W. Gomersall) in the role of Earl Douglas. He stands with legs apart, in one hand he holds a sword and in the other a shield. Parts of his outfit have been covered in sections of foil, and the flumage of his hat has been covered in real feathers. The background of the print shows a hall set up for a banquet. The title and publication details are printed underneath the image. The print has been mounted on card and framed in maple frame.
