Roger Fry, art critic and founder of the Omega Workshops, valued especially evidence of the hand process in pots thrown on the wheel. No cleaning up of excess clay was permitted; instead he had moulds made which repeated the irregularities and made the Omega pottery available in limited commercial production.' |
