This game was one of a series released by Mastertronic. Aimed at the budget market, they were available for less than £2.00 and distributed through local newsagents as well as the usual high street outlets. Magic Carpet was released in 1984 for the burgeoning Sinclair ZX Spectrum home computer market. An arcade maze game, the objective is to fly the magic carpet through deadly caves in search of the magic lamp. As with most games for the Sinclair Spectrum, it would be loaded by playing a cassette, taking several minutes before you could play.
