Untitled

Lithograph
1989 (printed and published)
Artist/Maker
Place of origin

Christopher Le Brun (born 1951) is a sculptor, painter and printmaker. His graphic work is characterised by darkly mysterious mythological imagery inspired by Symbolist painters such as Arnold Böcklin and Gustave Moreau, but also the painterly abstraction of artists such as Philip Guston. This print (and the suite Seven Lithographs) has ambiguous imagery which alludes to undefined landscape motifs, represented in a dramatic dream-like manner.
