Physical description

World War II propaganda poster encouraging the public to save money with the Post Office Savings Bank as part of the war effort. The image is of what appears to be a pilot in the cockpit of his plane. He wears a flying hat and goggles and his eye is seen through the sight of his gun, which obscures the rest of his face. To the left of him is the gun, surrounded by the riveted green and grey metal of his craft. Another brown plane with a target, the symbol of the RAF, soars above him. Above the image, in the white boarder, printed in dark-grey, is 'His Action Station', and below the image, 'Saving is everybody's war job - Post Office Savings Bank'. The artist has signed himself, 'Eckersley .43', in the lower left corner of the image.
