Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar, the subject of this film, was born an ‘untouchable’ at the bottom of the Hindu caste system. He overcame numerous social and financial obstacles to become one of the first of his caste to gain a college education. He was a scholar and politician and spent his life fighting against the discriminatory caste system. He was responsible for writing the Indian constitution. This film is not a typical Bollywood film. It was produced by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt. of India as a social documentary.

All of this on a beige background and there are rough pencil sketches of street scenes which can be seen in between the other images.
At the bottom it states that the film was produced by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt. of India and Govt. of Maharashtra, NFDC.
