Ernest Edmonds began to make art with computers in 1968. His explorations of structures and systems are influenced by constructivism and ideas of interconnection. This work evolves in response to its environment; any movement detected by the camera produces changes in the program over time. The ways in which people move around the piece determine how the images are constructed, shaping the pattern, colours and timing.
