Life-sized photograms of figures sometimes appear as installation pieces in Neusüss’s work. Here, a photogram is transplanted from the darkroom where it was created to an urban setting and the scene documented in a regular photograph. The photogram creates the illusion of a shadow with a life of its own – magically detached and somehow remaining in place after the sweeping figure that created it has departed. |
