Place of origin |
D*Face is the tag of Dean Stockton, a London-based street artist whose work has been widely featured in magazine publishing, design for the music industry and fashion, and has crossed over into the commercial gallery scene. He founded the Outside Institute, a gallery specialising in street art which later relocated and was rebranded as the Stolen Space Gallery. His public art commissions include a newly-completed mural for Pisa City Council funded by the Treseco Foundation and Bevilacqua La Masa to commemorate Keith Haring and the mural he painted in the same city twenty years ago. 'No More Heroes' is an unsettling deconstruction of the Superman icon in the artist's trademark style.
