Physical description

"They say two can live as cheaply as one..." Margie Poster SP No. 7, World War II poster depicting a housewife holding a mixing bowl as she sits on a stool. The woman, who is young, wears make-up and has high heeled but sensible shoes, epitomises attainable and 'safe' glamour. She wears a sheer apron with yellow trimming over a blue and white striped dress, and looks out to the viewer as she appears to mix something in the bowl. She sits cross-legged. To the right of the poster is a note, hand-written on green paper, it reads 'They say two can live as cheaply as one - - but I guess that's true only if they don't eat. So while we gals practice cooking, you'd better practice saving. Love, Margie'.

Below this image is the message, illustrating the many ways to save, 'Soldiers Deposits, Personal Transfer Account, Class E Allotments of Pay, War Bonds, National Life Insurance'.
