Panel of tapestry woven silk (kesi) and lined with cotton. Consists of one small and two large panels of woven silk bordered and joined together by strips of black satin bound with white cotton, and lined with buff cotton.

On the top panel there is a gold and blue vase containing a peony and prunus blossom, with a ju-I sceptre, a bunch of grapes and two linked rings tied with a ribbon on a turquoise ground. On the central small panel a landscape with a man fishing by a pavilion on a gold-coloured ground.

On the bottom panel an old sage is seated on a lake with a wine cup on a rock beside him. A servant holding a fan is pointing upwards at a crane flying overhead. The scene has an orange background.
