Physical description
Postcard printed with a black-and-white sketch of a half-length female figure, wearing a wide brimmed hat. She has her left arm stretched across her chest and is carefully holding a thorn-covered stem in her left hand. Printed beneath the image in red ink are the words 'The Gardener's Daughter / A Study by Francis Miles'. Pin holes in the corners, top left and right. On the reverse, lower right hand corner, is a green label, printed with the words: 'J.W. Walton / Stationer, & c. / St. Ann's Place, / Manchester.'
