This is a fashion design for a 'lampskin or sheepskin fingertip coat', inscibed with instructions for manufacture of the garment and details of the material out of which it is intended to be made. It is by Marjorie Field for the haute couture firm of Field Rhoades which was registered in the London street directories at 77, South Audley Street, London, W1 for the years 1948 to 1949. A small design to the right displays the back of the coat. The design is inscribed with instructions on how to make the sleeves of the sheepskin coat. The initials in the bottom right corner are those of Marjorie Field Rhoades which was her married name after 1945.
