This is a fashion design showing a woman wearing a coat, the length of which comes to just below the knee, with inscribed instructions, in red ballpoint pen, for making the garment. The design is by Marjorie Field for the haute couture firm of Field Rhoades which was registered in the London street directories at 77, South Audley Street, London, W1 for the years 1948 to 1949. The design is likely to be from 1945 to 1949 because it is signed with the initial 'M.F.R.' for Marjorie Field Rhoades which is her married after 1945.
