Kerb Drill serviette

Serviettes
late 1950s (manufactured)
Artist/Maker
Place of origin

This set of serviettes was probably used at a birthday party. They feature printed illustrations of the circus, with each corner having a different road safety message: "Train to cycle safely", "Always do your kerb drill", "Skill comes with training" and "Train for road safety". Road safety training features in every child's life and these serviettes combined a reminder of the Kerb Drill pedestrian safety campaign (replaced in 1970 with the Green Cross Code) with the fun of a birthday event.
