Jeff Banks trained at Camberwell School of Art and St Martin's College, and opened his shop Clobber in Blackheath, south-east London in 1964. His business grew rapidly and his designs were retailed in department stores across the UK and in New York.
This dress was worn by his wife, pop singer Sandie Shaw. It juxtaposes a hippy, Native American feel with a modern, short hemline.
