Vase and cover, of repoussé and and chased brass, for use in Lamaist ritual. The conical bowl simulating an open lotus flower, stands on a trumpet-like foot of down-turned open lotus, with an open lotus bud rising from the middle. Below this is a band of flying bats amid foliate scrollwork, and round the rim of the bowl is another band ornamented with the Eight Buddhist Emblems alternating with curving leaves. The ornament is in very high relief, and the ground is punched with small spots.
