Poster
1979 (printed)
Artist/Maker
Place of origin

Screen printed poster advertising the 'National Business Calendar Awards 1978-79' an exhibition at the Kodak Photographic Gallery and at the London College of Printing (now LCC).

At the top of the poster in red letters is 'National Business Calendar Awards'. Below this in black text, 'Exhibitions Kodak Photographic Gallery 246 High Holborn WC1 February 21 to March 22 / London College of Printing Back Hill EC1 27 March to 5 April and at certain provincial centres'. Below, in a smaller black typeface, 'Sponsored by the British Printing Industries Federation and the London College of Printing'.

Below this text is the image, which takes up the lower two-thirds of the poster; a green number '7', and a red number '9', make the number 79, but an orange circle, partly covered by the top of the '9', means that the 9 can also be read as an 8.

Along the right edge of the poster, running to the bottom corner in a small black typeface, 'Designed by Tom Eckerlsey and printed at the London College of Printing'.
