At the top of the poster in red letters is 'Technological Certificate in Printing Techniques'. Below this in blue ink, 'New Course at the London College of Printing'. In smaller black letters below the headings, and running from the centre to the right of the poster, 'For senior students, journeymen and managers, wishing to extend / their knowledge beyond the advanced craft stage in all branches of / the printing processes. Part-time day, block release or evening courses'. Below and slightly to the left, in small black typeface, 'An opportunity to gain additional experience in modern methods / of production on the latest and most sophisticated machinery and equipment', and below and to the right, 'For further particulars write to: / T Chapman, London College of Printing, Elephant and Castle, London SE1 6SB'.

Below the text is the image, a circle, heavily outlined in black, and with a black-outlined inner circle. The circle is segmented into eight equal parts, coloured white, yellow, blue and dark blue, and orange-red and brown. Directly below this is the upper half of an identical circle (the lower half disappears out of the picture plain).

Along the right edge of the poster, running from the bottom corner in a small black typeface, 'Designed by Tom Eckerlsey and printed at the London College of Printing'.
