Place of origin

"We did it before, we'll do it again. . . STS-2" Space Shuttle poster. Nine photographic images of varying sizes, showing mainly crowd scenes from different sites associated with NASA and the space shuttle project.

There are six smaller images of engineers working at the Kennedy Space Centre in Florida, and three larger pictures, one depicting a presentation or speech being given to a crowd at Rocketdyne, probably at their main site in California where the Space Shuttle's Main Engine was built, another showing a audience, probably at at the AERO Institute in Palmdale California, and a crowd of workers at Downey California, probably employed by Rockwell Aerospace, where some of the systems for the space shuttle were produced.

Each of the images has a caption identifying the specific site ('KENNEDY SPACE CENTRE', 'ROCKETDYNE', 'PALMDALE', and 'DOWNEY'). Along the top of the poster, in red capitalised sans-serif letters are the words, 'WE DID IT BEFORE, WE'LL DO IT AGAIN. . .'. In the bottom left corner of the poster, in blue letters, is 'STS-2', the name of the second space shuttle mission, which launched 12 November 1981, landing 14 November 1981, and the symbol, or insignia, for the space shuttle Columbia, a circle with an eagle and a portion of the stars and stripes of the US flag, the words 'Columbia' next to two stars, and below, on the eagle's wing, 'ENGLE -TRULY'.
