The body is hemispherical with horizontally-flat shoulder, tubular neck, shallow pan-like mouth, and three-tiered cover surmounted by a lotus-boss. It has a C-shaped dragon handle, which strongly resembles the Greek head of Pan. The S-shaped spout issues from a Makara head. Applied gilt mounts occur on the shoulder, the neck and on the cover. The ornament in low relief consists of repeated petal motifs or wavy leafy stems.
