Artist/Maker
Place of origin

A bejewelled lady is shown naked from the waist up, combing her hair. She is viewed as if through an arched window, a favourite visual conceit in later Rajasthani and Punjab Hills painting. The flat painting style and large scale of the figure are typical of the rather stiff paintings that were produced in Jaipur in Rajasthan during the 18th century.
