Marks and inscriptions
  • 'PATENT / W.F & - ' stamped at intervals on each of the adjustable shelving slotted metal strips
  • 'RC & S' inside a crown outline, sideways at bottom of lock; 'SECURE / LEVER' sideways at top of lock.
Object history
Owned by Sir Ambrose Heal and used to store his part of his library.

In 1968 this cabinet was recorded at Bethnal Green Museum.
