This print, published by Jean Mariette in Paris, shows a range of decoration. The two teapots are covered in motifs ranging from acanthus and rosette to animal designs. The band of decoration in the centre is possibly for floor mosaics, and the strips of ornament repeat acanthus and plant patterns.
Ornament prints like these were copied by artisans working in different fields, and were responsible for spreading the influence of various decorative styles.
