Richard James made this bespoke suit for Patrick Cox, the inventive shoe designer. Its bold use of fabric, a blue wool with a bold check pattern, combined with the slim fashion-conscious cut and colourful accessories, are key elements of Richard James's work. He is part of the recent resurgence of quality British tailoring combined with high-fashion styling. James acquired his fashion training in the retail industry. He went on to start his own business in 1992, and quickly became known for his bold use of colour combined with meticulous, classic styling.
