Physical description
Stage costume by Mr Pearl for a Germ in a production by Matthew Hawkins, 1987. Fitted jacket made in neon green and pink synthetic cotton style fabric. The jacket fastens at the centre front with a vertical row of 5 plastic buttons and an additional row of metal press studs. There is soft curved collar, and the hem is also curved and shaped to fit the body of the wearer. Two 'discs' of fabric have been cut out of the jacket under the upper part of the arm on both the proper left and proper right hand side. In contrast to the construction and stitching used for the rest of the garment, the stitching here is roughly finished, suggesting that this may be a later modification.

  • Shoulder to shoulder width: 56cm
  • Packed weight weight: 0.8kg
