This 17th-century print shows designs for printed enamel by Jean Vauquier. The roundels and panels show lush flowers, leaves and ribbons. Ornament prints such as these were aimed for the use of artisans and craftsmen to copy motifs and techniques; this print was aimed at goldsmiths in particular.
