This hand-coloured print is from the series Meubles et Objets de Gout (Furniture and Objects of Taste), published in Paris between 1797–1837. It shows three designs for draperies in different colours and fabrics, detailed with embroidery and fringing. Published around 1808, this image echoes the then-fashionable Empire style. Similar to English Regency style, it coincided with Napoleon’s First Empire and was defined by Classical influences.
