Yoichi Ohira (born 1946) Cristallo Sommerso N.48 – Scolpito 2008 This is one of a series of compact and organically shaped vases by Yoichi Ohira, which are created from conjoined volumes of blown glass. Within the elegant form is a tension between the shape of the air-bubble and the mass of crystal glass encasing it. Italy (Murano) Hand-blown, cut and polished Museum no. C.3-2010. Purchased with the support of Moët-Hennessy as winner of the Pavilion of Art & Design London Prize(1/4/2015)
