Artist/Maker
Place of origin

Max Warren took inspiration from a Sheffield plate candlestick in the V&A collection for his commission. Sheffield plate was developed in the 1740s and is made from a copper sheet plated with silver which is then worked as one metal. To make this piece, Warren cut out thin sheets of silver and layered them together to give a ghostly impression of a candlestick.
