Sketchbook containing landscape and coastal drawings of the Hastings area, in pencil and pen and ink, mostly with monochrome or watercolour washes. Most have MS notes relating to colour. There are approximately 40 leaves in total, with others having been town out at some point. In addition to the 40 leaves, there is a small piece of paper bearing a date in 1811 and a small sketch of a pond. The volume is dated and inscribed with place-name.
