Physical description

Sketchbook containing landscape drawings, mostly in pencil, but with some partially inked in, depicting the Ouse Bridge in York, the River Avon, Gretna Green, and Dalmally. Several of the drawings are dated in Spetember or October 1801. There is a list of possessions also which the artist evidently intended to take with him, including an umbrella, a black trunk, a black leather case, a drawing stool, a long red case and paste boards with silk paper. There are 83 leaves in total, grey and blue paper.
