Gallery 100, 2016-17: Alfred Stieglitz (1864–1946) ‘Georgia O’Keeffe – Torso’ 1931 The photographer, publisher and gallery owner Alfred Stieglitz played a key role in promoting photography as an art form. He collaborated with the painter Georgia O’Keeffe for over 20 years, creating more than 300 photographs, which he saw as a composite portrait.
