The doll has a wax head, arms, hands and boots on a cloth body and legs, and represents a caucasian female (possibly a child) with black eyes, closed red lips and brown hair (all painted). She wears a white cotton chemise; a long, high-waisted puff-sleeved gown of écru dotted muslin over pink cotton, trimmed with lace and ribbon; a cream ribbon sash; a mob cap of écru net; a necklace of blue glass beads; and pink wax boots. She is contained within a glass-fronted box of wood, the exterior stained a deep brown and the interior painted pale grey.
