This poster, published by the White Russian Army, depicts a series of photographs documenting the corpses of hostages tortured by members of the Bolshevik Emergency Commission (CheKA). The event happened in the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv during the outbreak of the civil war 1918-1921, a direct result of the October Revolution. The captions beneath each photograph detail the atrocities. The poster was created as a part of widespread anti-Bolshevik campaign.
