Part of New Age Traveller Costume. This outfit combines second-hand and found clothing with army surplus and handmade garments. The numerous layers were worn for warmth and protection. The hat is unique to the traveller's tribe, in this case, the Dongas. Traveller clothing is normally worn until it falls apart, hence the condition of this outfit, and the unwashed appearance reflects the Traveller's itinerant life which is spent largely outdoors.
