Object history
This watercolour was on loan from Margaret Nash to the Museum from 1960. It is a tracing of the original watercolour of 1944 now in the Santa Barbara Museum of Art in California (see Margot Eates, Paul Nash, 1948, Pl.119; Paul Nash, Outline 1949, repr. p.253), in preparation for the oil painting of 1945, now in the Tate (ref: T07552).
