Lightweight printed cotton and striped linen are skilfully layered here to create a look that is loose yet smart. This ensemble is ideal for a British summer day since the components can be assembled according to the vagaries of the weather. Wendy Dagworthy has cleverly manipulated different patterns: a larger scale floral print is combined with a Liberty lawn scattered with tiny florets. The grey, blue and pinks of these prints give the outfit a cool, fresh appearance.
