Object history | This ensemble was designed by the Japanese designer Ryo Inoue and donated to the Street Style Exhibition to represent the Cyberpunk look for 1991. The designer said: "The title of this collection was Cybernetic Collection (a fusion of the human body, technology and media). The message I wanted to deliver was that of the human body as a part of media/information and also to question the environment which surrounds us by laying technology close to the body. The final outcome was a collection, eclectic in concept, in which I was to interpret the movement of human joints and muscles with metal." Purchased. Registered File number 1994/173. |
