The Maid of the Mountains is an operetta by Frederick Lonsdale, Harry Graham, F. Clifford Harris, Valentine, Harold Fraser-Simson and J.W. Tate. It follows the story of Teresa and Baldassare, the bandit maid and the bandit chief of a group of thieves living in the mountains. This costume design is from the first production of the operetta which opened at the Prince's Theatre, Manchester in 1916 before transferring to Daly's in 1917.
