Costumes purchased at the Royal National Theatre charity auction in 1996, or donated by the National Theatre prior to the auction: S.742 - S.810-1997, S.822 - S.824:2-1997. A Flea in Her Ear opened at the Old Vic on 8 February 1966, with Robert Lang in the role of Plucheux. Laurence Olivier took over the role for the National Theatre's Canadian tour in 1967. Associated production: A Flea in Her Ear. Playwright: Georges Feydeau. Designer: Andre Levasseur. Director: Jacques Charon. Wearer and actor: Laurence Olivier. Character: Etienne Plucheux.
