This wig was worn by Sir Laurence Olivier as Etienne Plucheux in A Flea in Her Ear, 1967. The National Theatre staged A Flea in Her Ear at the Old Vic in 1966, with Robert Lang playing Plucheux. Olivier took over the role the following year for the National Theatre's Canadian tour in 1967.
