This is Daniela. 'Daniela loves to break into song whenever she gets the urge, even at the mall!'. She is part of the Liv Doll range by the Canadian children's entertainment company, Spin Master Ltd. Liv dolls are a line of four teenage fashion dolls that, 'live the same life as any average teenagers, complete with detailed personalities, interests and challenges that girls everywhere can relate to'. The dolls each come with their own secret code that girls can use to enter into the online 'Liv World'. Spin Master Toys began in 1994 when the three company finders launched, 'The Earth Buddy', a small panty-hose covered head filled with grass seeds that sprouted hair when watered. The company dropped the 'toys' from its name in 1995 and over the next decade, diversified its offering beyond traditional toys. Today Spin Master has headquarters in London, Paris, Hong Kong and various locations in the US.

Physical description
Liv Doll called Daniela. Cardboard and plastic box with cardboard cover that closes with a round Velcro tab. Cardboard cover features a large picture of the doll on a purple background. At the bottom is the Liv doll logo, and a blue strip with words such as ‘beauty, life, love, rejoice’ depicted. There is also the name ‘Daniela’ in purple flowery writing, a warning sign and a ‘5+ years. 1 SET’.

The cardboard cover opens to reveal a doll with black hair and brown eyes. Wearing silver earrings, a stripy multi-coloured scarf, coral pink bag, a khaki jacket with grey fur around the collar, a black top with turquoise underneath, a grey stripy skirt, black leggings and pink, black and white trainers. With her is a spare wig with purple highlighted hair on a blue mannequin head, a coral pink hairbrush and a purple ‘secret access code’. On the other side of the cardboard cover are various images of Daniela that show her singing and DJing.
On the back of the box are two images of Daniela ‘out with her friends’, playing a guitar and playing in a band.
