Label for the exhibition: "The Glamour of Italian Fashion 1945-2014" WOMAN’S HOUNDSTOOTH SUIT Gianni Versace, Autumn/Winter 1983/4 Wool and leather Gianni Versace took great care with the textiles for his collections. A constant innovator, Versace collaborated with many textile manufacturers to achieve specific qualities. Versace commissioned Prato textile maker Faliero Sarti to make the wool houndstooth pattern of this suit. GIVEN BY THE DESIGNER V&A: T.316&A, B, E, F, H-1985(05/04/2014-27/07/2014)
