Snow Lady Gourd

Pot
2008 (made)
Artist/Maker
Place of origin

Kate Malone’s exuberant forms often derive from vegetables and fruits. Gourds are a speciality, to which she adds various appendages to give each work a different character. Here perfect round balls like those found on an atomic model appear.
The gourd is enveloped in a soft white crystalline glaze that befits its title.
