Physical description

Gouache painting depicting a profile image of a man in a three-quarter length brown tunic trimmed with white fur, over a pale yellow undertunic and loose white trousers. He also wears bright red slippers and a loose pale brown and white turban and is carrying a white banner trimmed with a gold fringe over his right shoulder. Above the image is a title reading 'The Moorish Pilgrim returning from Macca' in pen and ink.
