Design for embroidery from a volume of designs by Lunardo Fero
Physical description
Leaf of three different, designs laid out in a horizontal format at regular intervals on cream-coloured laid paper with a watermark. There are three designs in pen and brown ink painted in yellow-ochre, red and green. On the left side near the binding is a vertical design consisting of diamond shapes divided by crosses amidst scrolling acanthus and flowers with flame-shaped petals in pen and brown ink. There are two round designs: on the top is a pelican in her piety pecking at her breast amidst flowers and leaves beneath which is a circular pattern of a cruciform flower in red and yellow-ochre surrounded by acanthus.
