Title page set in a decorative border of curving lines forming rounded loops and lozenges drawn in pen and brown ink. There is a decorated initial 'V' set in a square filled with watercolour in yellow ochre. This is at the beginning of a hand written inscription that dedicates the volume to a woman whose name is in capital letters.
